Labor Office

After waiting for a long time for the company to fulfill its promise to pay compensation to us who were laid off within 24 hours. Based on the letter given to us, a guarantee that the company will compensate.

Finally we agreed, take a drastic decision to make complaint against the company at the Labor Office, Kota Bharu, Kelantan. We hope that with the action taken, our rights are defended because we have carried out our responsibilities to the company then it is the turn of the company to carry out our responsibilities towards us.

It's not just us who make a complaint. On the other hand, almost all the staff of the company involved, throughout Malaysia, were given a notice of termination within 24 hours. Also make an official complaint at the labor office.

Previously, our waiting period was so long, we took the approach maybe the company needs time, however when days change days, weeks change weeks and even months change months.

There has been no response from the company. Eventually me & my friends felt the company was not serious about trying to solve the problem at this point. So we discussed and felt there was no other option that could defend us except to make a report at the labor office.

My first experience was in the labor office. give information on how many people out there having problems with employers, particularly the welfare of workers.

The office phone of the officer who handles our complaint, is always ringing non -stop, various inquiries or complaints are trying to be conveyed to the officer concerned.

The process of making a complaint takes almost 3 hours. Officers will scrutinize complaints from every angle to ensure employers have no opportunity to evade paying our compensation.

Based on the attached documents, we have the advantage in making a claim against the former employer. There is no chance of denial from the former employer of the claim submitted by us.

Alhamdulillah, we have taken the necessary steps to claim our rights. Now the Department of Manpower is our representative in the process of claiming compensation from the company. All procedures or processes that will be gone through by us, have been understood one by one. Now just waiting for a response from the company.

In sha Allah, if all goes well, compensation that can be obtained will help ease the financial burden on us at the moment.

The fact is that it is not me & my friends, who have experienced being victims of companies that are not responsible for the fate of their former staff. Labor Department officials shared that every day, there are complaints filed by employees against their respective employers.

While employers often argue with the labor office in the claims submitted, instead of cooperating in resolving the claim.

If the value of compensation is calculated, I am the least compared to other friends. Understand that some of us do more than we should. The value of the amount of compensation depends on the number of tasks performed by us.

I remember, when we were all still company staff. Often, new instructions are given, but want immediate results. When it comes to salaries, they take a long time. My message is only one, for those who feel persecuted. So don't be afraid to report your problem to the labor office, the government is very concerned about the welfare of workers in Malaysia.

Don’t let former employers oppress oppressed employees or make us victims of circumstances. They employ people as their employees, but the fate of the workers does not want to be defended properly. Therefore, do not waste the role of the labor office in helping groups of workers in Malaysia.
