Nomination

Today is the day of nomination of candidates for the General Election which will take place on the 19th of November. All candidates along with their supporters will gather at the nomination center early in the morning.

The special feature of the general election in Malaysia is that many political parties will compete. In fact, due to the large number of parties, a component of the party that will compete at the level of Parliament or Dun was also created.

The dominant components at the moment are Barisan Nasional (BN), Pakatan Harapan (PH), Perikatan Nasional (PN) and Gerakan Tanah Air (GTA).

There are candidates, representing different party components in this general election compared to previous elections. There may be some who feel strange, why such a situation happened?. To me, such things are common in the political world.

Which component of the party will be the choice of Malaysians in the next general election?. Will it happen that a component of the party will win a majority in the general election?.

Could there be a coalition or unity government again due to no component obtaining a sufficient amount of victory to form a government.

After this, all parties and candidates will start a more aggressive campaign to gain the confidence of the people to vote for them on polling day.

Most importantly, the people are now becoming wiser in evaluating their future leaders for the wishes or problems faced in Parliament later.

I hope that the new government on the 20th November will be a government that is truly a government for Malaysians.
