Unemployed Graduates

I am not an expert in human resource management. But that doesn't mean I don't know how the human resource management system should work. I would like to talk about unemployment among university graduates in the country.

Every year, thousands of graduates successfully graduate. Did the thousands of graduates who graduated succeed in getting a job in the first 6 months of graduation ?. Why after the first 6 months after studying is placed as a determinant or KPI ?, it is because the first 6 months is the target time period that is usually set by the National Higher Education Fund Corporation (PTPTN). After the first 6 months, it is common for graduates who become PTPTN borrowers to start paying the education loan.

Based on a simple mechanism, if the product produced exceeds market demand. The occurrence of dumping of the resulting product. Is it a good thing or vice versa for a country ?. In 2019, we saw several reports of the closure of large-scale companies that had to lay off large numbers of employees.

The question that needs to be emphasized at this point is where should Malaysian graduates go ?. Enough for 6 months, PTPTN will start chasing them to collect previous study debts. The government sector, which previously had permanent status, will now change to contract appointment status, while the private sector will continue to struggle to ensure that the company's operations continue as usual.

I am confident that there are still many retrenched jobs who have yet to find new jobs for the year 2020. The pressure on the cost of living is becoming more and more a burden even though the government has reported otherwise. Automatically, the unemployment rate continues to rise based on the current situation.

Even during the presentation of the 2020 budget in the Dewan Rakyat. Various plans have been drawn up, various facilities will be provided for the people. The question begins to arise ?, has the work been carried out as said ?. I personally expressed concern that I myself was suffering from depression because there was no job even though dozens of resumes had been sent to potential employers.

Although the issue of unemployment exists in every country, the whole world. It depends on how a country manages its unemployment rate. In my opinion, Malaysia is still successfully managing the country's unemployment. Only in my opinion, there are still certain parts to be fixed by the government. My hope is that the unemployment rate in Malaysia is below 2-3%.
