White Flag Campaign

Currently, Malaysians are starting the White Flag campaign in an effort to help Malaysians who are experiencing difficulties, especially from food shortages for their families. Impact of the implementation of total lockdown (MCO 3.0) at this time. The campaign is the efforts of Malaysians themselves as a measure of responsibility to prevent inappropriate or undesirable situations.

Generally we know that raising the White Flag is a symbol of conceding defeat in a war. However, for the current situation of war on pandemics, it carries a different meaning. Try to imagine a husband or wife suddenly losing their job due to a pandemic, then the available savings have been used up. Want to find another job, can't because of total lockdown. How to solve the problem faced ?. Most sadly the children began to complain of hunger. The government may have overlooked it because previously this family was in the M40 category. That is the category for those earning RM5000 and above.

The stress faced can cause the family involved to experience depression or extreme emotional stress. Worried about the effects of what was experienced, then shortcuts were taken such as suicide attempts. Therefore, it is the shared responsibility of the community to help. It's just that we don't know who needs help during a pandemic or a total lockdown at this time.

So through the White Flag campaign, it is a symbol of asking for help from the surrounding community. I understand that to ask for help from others, takes courage and not everyone has that courage. Therefore, in order to ensure that the family does not go hungry even if they do not have the courage to ask for help. So fly the White Flag, there must be help arriving. Although only aid in the form of basic foodstuffs. It is very valuable.

It becomes a habit, when we try to do something good. Surely there are those who do not like, so various statements are given, especially from POLITICAL leaders. The fact is that situations often go unnoticed and not all citizens are willing to go to the office of a Member of Parliament or State Assemblyman to ask for help. Therefore, no party should try to belittle the efforts carried out by the Malaysian community at this time. Not government allocation money is requested or money from MPs or state assemblymen. Therefore, all parties, especially among politicians, should view this campaign from a positive angle.

We do not yet know when the current pandemic will end. While the government is drawing up various plans for the economic recovery process. It is definitely time consuming as the people are increasingly affected by the current situation. Therefore, we must take care of the welfare of each other, so that we can all go through this difficult time. If we are UNITED, there must be someone who HELPS us all.
