Melaka State Election

At first I thought that no big things were going to happen this month, it turned out my guess was wrong. A new political polemic in the country appeared suddenly, The state of Melaka, which once experienced a political conflict that led to the change of Chief Minister, is once again facing a similar situation in my opinion.

The conflict started when 4 State Assemblymen no longer supported the Chief Minister of Melaka due to certain factors as reported by the mainstream media. This current situation is very unfortunate because at this time, all parties are busy in managing the national recovery plan and vaccination program.

This conflict led to the dissolution of the Melaka State Legislative Assembly, this situation requires that State Elections be held immediately as enshrined in the Constitution. Referring to the history of the pandemic that has hit the country and the world, we certainly do not want the things that happened during the State Election in Sabah, to happen again in Melaka. Before the Sabah State Election, the number of positive cases due to the pandemic was declining at that time, but after the Sabah State Election, the number of cases continued to soar in almost the entire state.

What do politicians think ?, is it impossible to be patient even though the conflict has existed for so long ?. All parties should prioritize the restoration of the country's health and economic status. Indeed, I really don’t understand what the politicians involved are thinking. Only they have the answer.

In fact, the State Election is a great opportunity for the people of the state to earn extra income. This is because members of the party that will be contesting from other states, will definitely come to that state to provide support or assistance to ensure that the candidate from the party involved wins.

Of course hotels or eateries, filled with party members from abroad, boost economic activity. However, due to the pandemic that still records cases of infection, state elections that basically help the local economy should be reconsidered. However, everything depends on the wisdom of those in charge.

The fact that we must not forget that many Elections are awaiting besides the Melaka State Election. But it was postponed due to the pandemic that hit. How is the outcome of the political polemic going on ?, let's all wait.

AKU PELAJAR PENGAJIAN MEDIA,

Walaupun telah lama aku tinggalkan Universiti Malaya, terutama Jabatan Pengajian Media, masih ada kenangan yang terpahat dalam ingatan. Pelbagai kisah tidak tercatat tetapi di coret dalam kamus hidup aku. Setelah melaporkan diri di Kolej Kediaman Ke-7, aku mempunyai tempoh 1-2 minggu untuk menentukan Subjek Major & Minor bagi melengkapkan Ijazah Sarjan Muda nanti.   Pada mulanya aku berminat pada Pengajian Hubungan Antarabangsa & Strategik sebagai subjek major.  Namun pada hari pertama masuk kelas pengenalan, lecture terus bagi assignment yang lebih fokus kepada undang-undang antarabangsa, membuatkan aku terasa takut sangat dengan beban bakal aku pikul nanti. Lagipun aku bukan dalam kategori pelajar pintar seperti orang lain. BAGAIMANA MENJADI TELEMARKETING?

Aku ingin kongsi pengalaman bekerja sebagai Telemarketing bagi sebuah Institusi Pendidikan di bandar Kota Bharu, seingat aku sekitar tahun 2008. Walaupun bekerja atas nama status kontrak, ia memberi pengalaman baru kepada aku, secara peribadi.Maklumlah budak pengajian media dari Universiti Malaya tiba-tiba jadi budak marketing. Apabila aku tamat latihan "on job training" di sebuah GLC yang base di Airports Subang pada tahun 2007. Aku mengambil keputusan balik kampung untuk menjaga ibu yang kini tinggal seorang setelah kematian abah. Aku mengambil inisiatif menghantar resume ke seluruh institusi atau organisasi yang dirasakan sesuai di sekitar Kota Bharu pada awal tahun 2008. Salah sebuah organisasi yang aku hantar permohonan terbuka telah menghubungi aku untuk hadir ke sesi temuduga yang aku tidak mengetahui apa jawatannya.
