ASEAN Ministers & KLIA

One of the most meaningful memories while worked at the Ministry of Youth and Sports Malaysia was the opportunity to be a member of the logistics committee for the ASEAN Sports Ministers Meeting in 2015.

The ASEAN Sports Ministers' Meeting lasted for a week. so for a week team logistics had to work at KLIA, thank you to the KLIA management for providing us with an operating room. 

While from a welfare point of view always awake, food will be delivered on time.

On this task, there was something that interested me, which was the formal attire of each stewardess which was different according to the corporate color of the respective airline. 

Most importantly, it's all beautiful.

A week at the airport, we had to wear formal clothes, namely shirts, blazers, slacks and black shoes. It makes us considered like MAHB company staff, especially when foreign tourists have problems in the luggage.

When the last delegation of ASEAN countries has arrived that day, our team will return to the hotel to rest, gather energy for the next day as well.

Anyone who is accustomed to being in the logistics task of a government program, be sure to know that the logistics task at the beginning and at the end later it is not known by the invitation of a ceremony or program.

Indeed, through this assignment, I had the opportunity to board the train at the airport, from the domestic terminal to the international terminal.

Something that would have been very impossible for me if I had not been on duty at this conference.

In fact I just found out that the situation in the terminal after the check-in counter at KLIA is different, it is very lively with various duty free shops specifically for foreign tourists.

Alhamdulillah, the conference went smoothly as planned by the secretariat, the delegates were satisfied with the hospitality given, no complaints were heard.

For me having the opportunity to do good deeds is an invaluable courtesy to me, be aware that 2015 is the last year I served at MYS after the management decided to reduce the number of contract staff.

A week of formal wear at the airport, indeed, the villagers looked smart, not like now they are busy wearing cape in the house alone. That is the story in the life cycle of a ME.

The opportunity to be an officer at a large conference is indeed a golden opportunity that should not be missed. 

Therefore, when I was offered to be part of the committee by the officer in charge. I immediately agreed, I invited along with other friends such as azruhizad and Sharul, together to be a committee member for the logistics team led by Mr. Mu'azam Shah.

Location The task of the logistics team led by Mr. Mu'azam is at KLIA & KLIA 2,

The logistics team must ensure that every piece of luggage belonging to the delegation of the ASEAN Sports Ministers involved is collected together.

Then, all the luggage belonging to the delegation was brought into the vehicle wait at the VVIP entrance. Each member of the logistics team must ensure that the time taken for the process of bringing the delegation bag to the vehicle is short.

After a week on duty at KLIA, finally everything ended brilliantly. All delegations from ASEAN countries are happy to come to Malaysia. To me, maybe the meeting has reached its target.

AKU PELAJAR PENGAJIAN MEDIA,

Walaupun telah lama aku tinggalkan Universiti Malaya, terutama Jabatan Pengajian Media, masih ada kenangan yang terpahat dalam ingatan. Pelbagai kisah tidak tercatat tetapi di coret dalam kamus hidup aku. Setelah melaporkan diri di Kolej Kediaman Ke-7, aku mempunyai tempoh 1-2 minggu untuk menentukan Subjek Major & Minor bagi melengkapkan Ijazah Sarjan Muda nanti.   Pada mulanya aku berminat pada Pengajian Hubungan Antarabangsa & Strategik sebagai subjek major.  Namun pada hari pertama masuk kelas pengenalan, lecture terus bagi assignment yang lebih fokus kepada undang-undang antarabangsa, membuatkan aku terasa takut sangat dengan beban bakal aku pikul nanti. Lagipun aku bukan dalam kategori pelajar pintar seperti orang lain. BAGAIMANA MENJADI TELEMARKETING?

Aku ingin kongsi pengalaman bekerja sebagai Telemarketing bagi sebuah Institusi Pendidikan di bandar Kota Bharu, seingat aku sekitar tahun 2008. Walaupun bekerja atas nama status kontrak, ia memberi pengalaman baru kepada aku, secara peribadi.Maklumlah budak pengajian media dari Universiti Malaya tiba-tiba jadi budak marketing. Apabila aku tamat latihan "on job training" di sebuah GLC yang base di Airports Subang pada tahun 2007. Aku mengambil keputusan balik kampung untuk menjaga ibu yang kini tinggal seorang setelah kematian abah. Aku mengambil inisiatif menghantar resume ke seluruh institusi atau organisasi yang dirasakan sesuai di sekitar Kota Bharu pada awal tahun 2008. Salah sebuah organisasi yang aku hantar permohonan terbuka telah menghubungi aku untuk hadir ke sesi temuduga yang aku tidak mengetahui apa jawatannya.
