When start skip class

Last Friday prayers, usually before the Imam reads the Sermon, a few things will be informed and it relates to the local community. It's just that I'm not pleased with the time taken, the Imam's style of speech is so sloppy that I feel more like a waste of time.

One of the announcements that caught my attention was related to a statement from the high school to the parents of the students, the school asked the students to attend the School as usual. I find it strange because of the habit of parents who appeal to the school to allow their children to go to school, but this time the situation has been reversed.

What caused the school to issue such a statement ?, most likely due to the number of students attending the school is very low at this time so that it forces the school to take such action. To me if a student fails to attend without a reason then firm action should be taken as per the school rules have been set.

I could not accept, if the above reason for failure to attend school, was due to fear of covid19 infection. It is very superficial in my opinion, the current status in Kelantan is a green zone. That means all daily activities can be done as usual except the illegal things. The Ministry of Education Malaysia through the State Education Department through the District Education Officer's Office should take appropriate action, do not be too lenient with students who take advantage of the latest situation.

There are even students who do not attend school because they go on holiday outside the area or state without feeling guilty for their actions. On the other hand, parents seem to set a bad example on the actions taken by their children. The fact that many forget that being in school as opposed to out of school has a huge difference in the risk of engaging in such unhealthy activities. When students do not go to school, then they are more likely to engage in immoral activities such as smoking cigarettes or getting involved in drug addiction.

Embarrassing when recalling the announcement made, the Senior Minister of Education is from Ketereh and a critical student attendance problem occurred in Ketereh. I believe parents will regret failing to educate their children who have the potential to succeed. Legalizing skipping school activities for fear of contracting covid19, is highly unacceptable at the moment.

In the end, regret is for sure, when seeing the children of other races progress successfully while the race itself is homeless and wandering in its own homeland.

AKU PELAJAR PENGAJIAN MEDIA,

Walaupun telah lama aku tinggalkan Universiti Malaya, terutama Jabatan Pengajian Media, masih ada kenangan yang terpahat dalam ingatan. Pelbagai kisah tidak tercatat tetapi di coret dalam kamus hidup aku. Setelah melaporkan diri di Kolej Kediaman Ke-7, aku mempunyai tempoh 1-2 minggu untuk menentukan Subjek Major & Minor bagi melengkapkan Ijazah Sarjan Muda nanti.   Pada mulanya aku berminat pada Pengajian Hubungan Antarabangsa & Strategik sebagai subjek major.  Namun pada hari pertama masuk kelas pengenalan, lecture terus bagi assignment yang lebih fokus kepada undang-undang antarabangsa, membuatkan aku terasa takut sangat dengan beban bakal aku pikul nanti. Lagipun aku bukan dalam kategori pelajar pintar seperti orang lain. BAGAIMANA MENJADI TELEMARKETING?

Aku ingin kongsi pengalaman bekerja sebagai Telemarketing bagi sebuah Institusi Pendidikan di bandar Kota Bharu, seingat aku sekitar tahun 2008. Walaupun bekerja atas nama status kontrak, ia memberi pengalaman baru kepada aku, secara peribadi.Maklumlah budak pengajian media dari Universiti Malaya tiba-tiba jadi budak marketing. Apabila aku tamat latihan "on job training" di sebuah GLC yang base di Airports Subang pada tahun 2007. Aku mengambil keputusan balik kampung untuk menjaga ibu yang kini tinggal seorang setelah kematian abah. Aku mengambil inisiatif menghantar resume ke seluruh institusi atau organisasi yang dirasakan sesuai di sekitar Kota Bharu pada awal tahun 2008. Salah sebuah organisasi yang aku hantar permohonan terbuka telah menghubungi aku untuk hadir ke sesi temuduga yang aku tidak mengetahui apa jawatannya.
