Kelantan & Politics

Kelantan is one of the states that has been governed by the PAS Party since the 1990s. Perhaps because of that, the issues that are definitely being debated by the majority of its citizens are politically related. If we look at the history of general elections in Malaysia, in the last few GEs, there was a situation where the PAS state government almost lost in Kelantan.

However, until now, the Kelantan state government continues to be governed by the PAS party. Most of the people of Kelantan have to leave the state of Kelantan to find career opportunities due to the limited opportunities in Kelantan itself. The purpose of this writing is not to look at the pattern of administration in the state of Kelantan. Just wanted to express my views about the attitude of some people who always talk about politics without seeing the atmosphere or place.

This morning, I bought breakfast and packaged rice for lunch. Then a customer came, ordered breakfast to be eaten at the stall. As soon as the customer sat down and the order arrived, he continued to talk about politics without thinking about the surrounding atmosphere or eating the food ordered earlier.

The customer is not a supporter of the PAS Party but quite anti to the UMNO party. Various insults were expressed to the UMNO Party, as if the party had many sins against the customers. Honestly I don't understand why there is still such narrow thinking. Feeling that only he is right and others are wrong, even though he is not a former political leader but a government retiree.

I don't care if there are individuals who like to talk about the country's political development all the time. Just have to look at the situation, whether it is appropriate or not to talk about the matter. In Malaysia, we have many political parties, probably more than other countries, even though Malaysians are only estimated at around 32-36 million.

Not all Malaysians are interested in knowing about political issues in this country. Therefore, before speaking any topic including politics. Notice first who is around us at that time. Our right not to support any party. but it is not our right to say bad things about a party that is not supported because there may be supporters of the party nearby when talking bad things about the party.

Malaysian politics if you want to talk, I who am not a member may feel like throwing up because it is too confusing. Who will be elected ?, for me who grew up in a political environment. Dad is an UMNO party supporter, so is mom. Meanwhile, the late grandfather was next to the mother of a PAS party supporter while the late grandfather was next to the father of an UMNO party supporter. So which should I choose ?.

Instead of talking about politics, it is better to talk about how to help the government solve social problems among teenagers in the local community. Problems of drug addiction, theft and many other social problems are spreading among teenagers in the area where I live. Politics is something that is easy to interpret, today is an enemy, tomorrow is a friend. It is very different from social problems among teenagers, because they are so busy talking about politics that they forget to care about their own children's situation and are eventually arrested for possessing prohibited items.
